The Mill On Main

The Mill On Main is Muskoka’s newest restaurant located at 50 Main St East. I was contacted by one of the owners (Gord Downey, Managing Partner) for web design, photography, and online marketing. The website is almost finished and I thought I would add a post here to let a few locals and vacationers know about a great new place to dine in down town Huntsville.

The Mill On Main has a warm atmosphere and exquisite food. When you walk in the door you will be greeted by the friendly staff. Stop by for a glass of wine with a close friend, or watch the game on the big screen

After taking in the atmosphere, the World Cuisine menu will entice your taste buds to explore the authentic dishes prepared by Chef Uday Tyagi. One of the girls will be happy to seat you.

There are a few seating options available at the restaurant, if you prefer booth seating there are booths running along both walls.

Seating is also available for larger groups

Muskoka is full of history and here at THE MILL ON MAIN we are proud to extend a little of Huntsville’s history into our restaurant. Directly behind this property, the Huntsville Planing Mill supplied the town of Huntsville with the lumber. It provided income and revenue for many families and business around town. Throughout the restaurant you will notice actual artifacts and historic pictures of the Mill.

When it came to selecting a menu for THE MILL ON MAIN, we truly looked at what we felt Huntsville needed from a cultural side. Being located directly across from the Algonquin Theatre, we also wanted to be able to add a “Theatre District” feel to our restaurant. WE felt that an eclectic collection of Asian cuisine blended with a few of the local favourites was the best choice for THE MILL ON MAIN.

OUR CHEF

With the selection of an Asian theme for our menu and a focus on Indian, Thai and Japanese cuisine, the selection of our chef was of the utmost importance. Uday is a world travelled chef. In the past 10 years he has acquired experience and knowledge with various cuisines. He has worked and trained under world class chefs in Switzerland, Dubai, UK and Canada. He has a unique ability to blend ingredients and fuse spices to create what is now known as “New World Cuisine”.
