Huntsville Fire – Ways to Donate

Online using the link below – If you can not donate in person I am providing this as an alternative. All money donated online will be given by me directly to the Legion. I spoke with Bob Locke the president of the Legion and he said EVERY NICKEL donated will be used to help the people affected.  To ensure all money is accounted for I put your name and amount given in the table below and show proof that all money was given to the Legion.

In person at the Salvation Army – The Salvation army is accepting donations in the form of clothing and furniture. I have heard that they are giving four outfits for free and everything after that must be paid for.  If anyone can clear up the situation it would be appreciated

In person at the Legion – The Legion is accepting clothing, furniture and monetary donations. Everything given will go directly to the people affected by the fire.

Mail a money order: Here is the address to the Legion.

Legion Address:
21 Veterans Way
Huntsville  Ontario
P1H 1P3

Be sure to specify what the money is for.

I am not a registered charity, I am just trying to help. I am using my computer knowledge to make it easy for people to donate who otherwise may not do so. If you can donate directly to the Salvation Army or to the families involved please do so.  However if you can not make it into Huntsville to donate, or do not know where or how to donate, or if you live to far away then please donate here. All of the donations I receive will go DIRECTLY to the charities. All money donated will be displayed on this site.  Please give generously and ask your friends and family to do so as well as many people have lost everything due to this fire. Thank you

Jeremy Rupke

The button bellow allows people to donate by paypal or credit card

If you would like a link to your business or personal website displayed please let me know when you donate

Donation for Huntsville fire victims

Diann Heroneme

I have taken all of the money that was donated online and deposited it into the trust fund at CIBC
The $100 donated by me (the first one) was donated through Deerhurst Resort. I work there and they had a great way to donate directly off a paycheck so I decided to use that method to donate the $100.

It’s nice to see the donations starting to come in.We have a long way to go in making these people’s lives more comfortable. Take the time this Thanksgiving to see all you have to be thankful for and give to help those that have lost everything. So remember to GIVE and make those unfortunate people have something to be thankful for also.

For mail in donations I would suggest mailing your cheque or money order directly to the charity so either the Salvation Army or the Huntsville Legion. Please make sure you specify that the money is to be used solely for aid of the people affected by the fire.

Well done, Jeremy!

One of my pet peeves, Jeremy, regarding such a catastrophic event. Did you read any thing about it in the media? It is in the BR Banner, and HV Forester, and rightfully so, but everything from fires to weather escapes the navel-gazing of Toronto media!

Jeremy, me again! You can also donate through CanadaHelps.org to Huntsville Salvation Army! I know that PayPal steals a percentage if you go through them!
